The Kempner Institute is an interdisciplinary initiative of the Provost’s Office, and is not housed in any one school or department within Harvard. Like all the cross-school initiatives administered through the Provost’s office, the Kempner is also sometimes referred to as an “interfaculty initiative.”

Research and Engineering Team
The Kempner’s Research and Engineering Team is comprised of expert research computing engineers, big data architects, and technical project managers who ensure the provision of advanced Research Computing (RC) tools and services and expert Research Software Engineering (RSE) support to Kempner Institute researchers.
