Ryan Badman currently works in the Rajan lab studying topics related to computational neuroscience, improved statistics and modeling at the theory/experiment boundary, curriculum learning, foraging, and social neuroscience. He holds a physics PhD and has previous postdoctoral positions in cognitive science, computer science and computational chemistry.
Research Focus
Badman’s current research focuses on neuro-inspired AI, reinforcement learning, curriculum learning, nonlinear dimension reduction, neural manifolds, statistics, decision and behavioral modeling, brain imaging analysis, recurrent neural networks, foraging, social behavior, circuit modeling, and dual-use ethical issues in AI research.
