About
Artem is a PhD student in the Harvard Program in Neuroscience (PiN), advised by SueYeon Chung. He received his bachelor’s degree in Biophysics from Lomonosov Moscow State University. In his free time, Artem creates educational videos exploring computational neuroscience and machine learning on his YouTube channel.
Research Focus
Artem’s research focuses on biologically plausible solutions to the credit assignment problem — how instructive signals for synaptic plasticity are generated and coordinated in biological neural networks. He is broadly interested in computation and learning in recurrent networks of spiking neurons with dendritic morphology. To this end, he seeks to develop theoretical tools for describing representational geometry in dynamical systems and linking it to computation.
