About

Shun Li is a PhD candidate in Bernardo Sabatini’s lab at the Harvard Medical School Program in Neuroscience (PiN). His work and research focusing on understanding how local neural circuits alter their connections to enable learning and flexible behavior. Prior to PiN, Li studied brainstem neural circuits in Fan Wang’s lab and graduated from Duke University with a major in Neuroscience and minor in Compute Science and Psychology.

Research Focus

Li’s research focuses on examining and characterizing biological synaptic plasticity at neural circuit and molecular levels. Moreover, Li is also interested in exploring how these local biological learning rules relates to current AI learning algorithms.
