About
Nikki Shawn joined the Kempner Institute for the Study of Natural and Artificial Intelligence at Harvard University as the reception area coordinator in August 2023, where Nikki supports the Institute’s leadership team and manages critical logistical aspects of the Kempner’s community and physical space. Prior to his role at the Kempner, Nikki taught music at an elementary school in Fairfax County, VA for three years and spent several years teaching a variety of instruments as a private music teacher. Nikki earned their Bachelor of Music from James Madison University, where he served as an Innovation Leader at the school’s Center for Inclusive Music Engagement.
