About
Denise Yoon joined in February 2025 as the Associate Director for Educational Programs at the Kempner Institute for the Study of Natural and Artificial Intelligence at Harvard University. They head the Kempner’s educational programs and fellowships for graduate, post-baccalaureate, and undergraduate students. Before coming to the Kempner, Denise studied neuroscience and comparative literature at Brown University and earned their Ph.D. in organismal and evolutionary biology from Harvard University, where they studied quantitative behavior and received extensive training in pedagogy. After graduate school, they served as an undergraduate academic advisor and introductory biology course instructor at Harvard College, where they helped guide and inform first-year students’ college experiences and connected students to learning, academic resources, and research opportunities across the life sciences and beyond.
