Spatiotemporal Organization of Multicellular Active Matter
Haiqian Yang, Massachusetts Institute of Technology
Abstract: How does biological life acquire its form and functional organization? Watching development under the microscope is like observing a swarm intelligence at work: individual cells sense, decide, and act locally, yet together they spontaneously self-assemble into functional multicellular structures. In this talk, I will present our recent work on predicting cell behaviors at single-cell resolution over time during the dynamic process of multicellular development.
