Introduction to Kempner AI Cluster

This introductory workshop will overview accessing and using the Kempner cluster, including code development, data management, and job submission and monitoring. This workshop is open to anyone who is using the Kempner cluster.
Who can attend this workshop? Anyone who is using the Kempner cluster. (Space may be limited.)
What will attendees learn from this workshop?
- Cluster infrastructure, including storage tiers and partitions
- How to develop code on the cluster, including using VSCode for remote development and managing environments and software modules
- How to transfer data to/from the cluster using different methods based on use case
- How to submit interactive and basic jobs using slurm, including having an understanding of how fairshare works
Prerequisites:
- FAS Research Computing account
- Access to the Kempner AI cluster
- No prior high performance computing experience required
