Michaela Kapp

Michaela joined the Kempner Institute for the Study of Natural and Artificial Intelligence at Harvard University in May 2023 as the assistant director for finance, handling various financial aspects of the organization. She joins the Institute with more than 16 years of experience at Harvard University, ten of which were based in the Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS). At SEAS, she served as the Administrative Director, providing leadership and oversight over the administrative and financial infrastructure for the areas of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, and Applied Math. In her prior roles as the administrative manager of the VCG,  she oversaw the group’s grant management, financial and administrative responsibilities. Additionally, Michaela worked at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health as a lead coordinator on environmental exposure studies. She received her nursing degree in pediatrics from the Universitaetsklinikum Ulm, worked as a pediatric nurse in Germany and India, and studied business administration at the University of Applied Sciences in Neu-Ulm, Germany.
